Perrywood Supports the Vital Work of Greenfingers by raising £1,605 at Charity Quiz Night

On Thursday 15 March, Perrywood Garden Centre in Tiptree held a quiz night to raise funds for the important work of the charity Greenfingers. The event, which raised a grand total of £1,605, is part of Perrywood’s ongoing commitment to supporting worthy causes whilst highlighting the positive impact that plants can have on our health and happiness.
It is well known that beautiful gardens can have multiple benefits to our wellbeing. As a charity, Greenfingers is dedicated to creating outdoor spaces at hospices which provide relaxation and enjoyment for children and their families. Gardens created by Greenfingers are designed to enable the opportunity to embrace fresh air and engage with the natural environment. This brings countless benefits to children in hospices with life-limiting conditions.
The popular event attracted 20 teams made up of Perrywood customers and staff, with all proceeds going directly to the charity.
Hannah Powell, Communications and Business Development at Perrywood, comments: “As a business, we are committed to giving back to the community and charities which are close to our hearts. However, we could not raise the much needed funds for organisations such as Greenfingers without the amazing support from our customers and staff. In 2017, we were able to donate £14,000 to Mid & North Essex Mind, Marie Curie and Greenfingers and this year we hope to build on this figure even further.”
