WHAT BECOMING A B-CORP PR AND MARKETING AGENCY MEANS TO US
As we have begun to immerse ourselves into the B-Corp community, which is filled with other inspiring, people focussed and environmentally driven businesses, we have found ourselves reflecting on our journey to certification and what this means to the Voice team. To celebrate this achievement and share with you why this is so important to Voice, we have asked each team member to tell us what becoming a B-Corp PR agency means to them.
Here’s what they had to say:
Nichola Cain, Voice’s Founder, says: “We are very proud to have become a part of the international B-Corporation community, these organisations echo Voice’s values and ethos making B-Corp a perfect fit for us. This is an incredible achievement for Voice and we are all excited to continue spreading our message of positivity and sustainability – putting the triple bottom line at the heart of all that we do.”
Meanwhile, Jess Gill, our Senior Account Director, has shared a personal experience which heightened her interest in sustainability and the B-Corp community: “On my honeymoon, I witnessed the devastating effects of climate change first hand on the coral reefs in Mauritius. It was an eye-opening experience that emphasised how we all should be doing more to safeguard our planet. Being a B-Corp agency demonstrates our commitment to sustainability and we join a community of like-minded and innovative businesses”. Caring for the planet is a value we all share here at Voice, bringing our passion for sustainability into the workplace is incredibly important to the entire team.
Megan House, Voice’s Senior Account Manager, says: “The B-Corp community space is really important to me. Voice has joined a community of businesses that all share the same values and support each other which I think is very special. To be recognised as a business that is values-led, which has always been at the heart of Voice, is a real honour”. Our values are at the very heart of Voice and we take tremendous pride in supporting local businesses, our suppliers, clients and the wider community. B-Corp is a recognition of these efforts, showcasing our commitment to ‘doing good’ and helping others.
At Voice Communications we are an inclusive team, every member has expressed a commitment to the B-Corp certification – this decision was not led solely by senior management, rather it has become a passion project for everyone here at Voice. Lucy McKechnie, our brilliant Account Manager, says: “One of the main reasons that I wanted to join Voice was because of its unique feel. Unlike many businesses, balancing the triple bottom line has always been an essential priority for Voice. To be an official B-Corp company is a wonderful achievement and I’m proud of the whole team.”
Maddie Brunton, Senior Account Executive, says: “Becoming a B-Corp business is an amazing achievement, it reflects Voice’s commitment to the planet and its people. We are all passionate about making the world a better place so joining this like-minded community was a perfect next step for the Voice team.”
In addition, Katie Molyneaux, Voice’s Junior Account Executive and the newest member of our team, has shared her pride in joining a B-Corp business: “These are really exciting times for Voice. To be part of a community with businesses from a range of industries is really special, this means we’re in a great space to connect with exciting people. Becoming a B-Corp agency feels like the perfect fit for us, this community echoes the Voice values which we’re all so passionate about. I’m excited to see what the future holds for our team.”
Finally, Cameron Poole, our PR Assistant, says: “I think being part of B-Corp is fantastic. It is the perfect way to show that Voice is a company which cares about best practice ethics, people, sustainability, our local community and the world.”
