This week is National Apprenticeship Week with the theme ‘Build for the Future’ which aims at encouraging people to build skills and knowledge through an apprenticeship to reach their career goals as well as focusing on the benefits apprenticeships can have on businesses to.

At Voice, we are passionate about supporting the younger generation in developing skills they need for the future and have loved being able to offer apprenticeships as part of this.

Our amazing Account Assistant Mya joined us in November as part of a PR apprenticeship with the PRCA and we have been loving having her as part of our team.

She is incredibly smart, hard-working, kind and creative and has brought incredible energy to the Voice family.

Mya shared her best bits about her apprenticeship so far:

“I have been with Voice for 3 months now and I have already learnt so much and been a part of so many amazing opportunities.

“In the first month of my apprenticeship I was given the opportunity to travel to our second office in Newquay and attend the Oltco winter conference.

“I was fully chucked in the deep end but I absolutely loved it. I was able to meet clients in person and learn more about the Oltco brand which has allowed me to apply this knowledge first hand to the work I do.

“Even though I have only been a part of the team for a short time, everyone has welcomed me with open arms. The whole team is understanding and supportive and they are all willing to help me get the best out of my apprenticeship.

“For me, becoming an apprentice has giving me the opportunity to work well within a team and get real life experience. I get hands on training and I get to put my skills into practice!

“An apprenticeship was definitely the right choice for me!”
