intu Lakeside launches Big Birdhouse Tour

On Tuesday 14 July intu Lakeside launched intu’s nationwide Big Birdhouse Tour in partnership with Europe’s largest nature conservation charity, the RSPB. intu Lakeside is the first stop on this fun and educational tour, which will visit a further 14 intu centres across the country to raise awareness of the importance of ‘Giving Nature a Home’.
The Big Birdhouse Tour showcases 15 larger than life birdhouses. Each birdhouse has been individually and artfully designed by well-known British personalities, including Jo Whiley, Vic Reeves and Steve Backshall, to raise money for and awareness of the RSPB.
These birdhouses are located across the centre for visitors to enjoy until 9 August so why not head down to the centre and see if you can spot them all? Don’t forget to photograph the birdhouses you spot and share them on your social media with the hashtag #HomeTweetHome.
If a particular birdhouse takes your fancy then make sure to keep an eye out for the auction will which take place at the end of the 16 month tour. You’ll be given a chance to purchase one of the birdhouses and give it a new home in your garden with the money raised from sales going to the RSPB.
