Christmas Switch on at intu Lakeside!

It’s going to be a Christmas to remember for intu Lakeside customers this year as they kick off the festive season with their annual Christmas switch on event! This Saturday, 12th November, there will be parades, fireworks, a Christmas Village, and of course the bearded man himself for the big switch on.
It all begins at 4.15pm with a character parade from popular toy shop Hamleys, marching through the centre for everybody to join in. The parade will continue onto the stage in intu Lakeside’s new Christmas Village that can be found in car park 3 where popular Hamleys characters will encourage little ones to take part in fun and games.
At 5pm – PIRATES! Cook and Line from CBeebies will take to the stage to provide laugh out loud entertainment including fun songs and silly slapstick comedy.
After lots of singing, dancing and laughs, it’ll be time for the big moment…the light switch on! With plenty of ‘oohs’ and ‘ahhhs’ as people enjoy watching the centre light up with Christmas lights and fireworks, intu Lakeside’s Christmas switch on is guaranteed to get everybody into the festive spirit.
Following the big moment, head on over to the Christmas Village full of German market stalls and an ice rink! The ice rink can be pre-booked for customers that would like to be amongst the first to enjoy it. If you’re going to visit Santa, his magical ginger bread grotto will be open from Monday 14 November.
