On Friday 24th October The Wilderness Foundation held their Annual Quiz Night at Little Baddow Memorial Hall. The quiz had a First World War theme and was decorated as such, and food traditionally had during the war was served.
The Wilderness Foundation provides opportunities for individuals and groups to directly experience the irreplaceable quality of wilderness, both as a positive force for social and environmental sustainability and as a forum for personal growth and change. They have been connecting people with wild places through their pioneering programmes for over 30 years.
The night included a two course hot supper for ticket holders, and a variety of refreshments were available.
Each team consisted of around eight members and the friendly but determined competition heated up during the evening, with lots of laughs along the way.
The questions included topics such as films, music, general knowledge and of course, questions relating to WW1.
The crowned champions were Effective Business Network (EBN) Essex team.
A raffle and a silent auction was also held, the latter giving participants the chance to win a stay in South Africa or Spain.
Overall the night was a great success and raised a great amount for a worthy cause. The money will go towards helping them continue the wonderful work they do.
