Two Entrepreneurs from Kent Celebrate the Success of New Beauty App Across the South East
It is estimated that 94% of the UK adult population[1] use mobile phones and with technology ever evolving, it’s not surprising that the average smartphone owner has more than 80 apps installed on their mobile device[2]. Harnessing this popularity, two entrepreneurs from Kent launched a revolutionary new beauty app, Be Licious, to help beauty therapists grow their client base and to make bookings easier for customers.
Since launching the innovative app in September 2018, Daniel Washbrook and Thomas Johnson from Sidcup, have grown Be Licious with an established network of skilled beauty therapists across Kent, with 82 freelancers either fully signed up, or adding the finishing touches to their business profiles. The network of freelancers currently cover Kent and some of Essex, travelling to customers to provide the treatments in the comfort of their own homes.
Putting a 21st century twist on booking appointments, Be Licious makes it easy to compare prices, treatment details and qualifications. For freelancers looking to be listed on the app, there is only a small admin fee of £3 per booking.
Amanda Thomas, Owner of GlamFairy and Be Licious Freelancer comments: “I was extremely impressed with the Be Licious concept and was delighted to sign up to be a part of the network. By using modern technology, the app helps freelancers gain new clientele and also benefit from free advertising, exposure and complete profile and booking control. I am able to manage my business through my phone, whether I am accepting bookings or updating my calendar, the app has definitely made this easier.”
Daniel Washbrook, Co-Founder of Be Licious, comments: “We are delighted with the success from the launch of Be Licious and the positive feedback we have received. We are proud to offer a secure, high quality service, which enables professionals to join our wide network of experienced freelancers. We are pleased to have grown the app extensively in our home town of Kent and we are very much looking forward to watching our community continue to grow in the near future.”
Thomas Johnson, Co-Founder of Be Licious, adds: “Be Licious has continued to grow from strength to strength since its launch in 2018. With simple, break free contracts and safe and secure payments guaranteed, freelancers have seen how using the app can benefit them. With an exciting year planned ahead, we look forward to the continued success of the app throughout 2019.”
