April is Stress Awareness Month which aims to raise awareness of the causes and cures for stress. Stress is our body’s response to feeling pressure and if not managed then it can have a detrimental impact to our mental health, our bodies and our relationships. Here at Voice, we all have different ways to deal with and relieve the stress that we can often feel in our everyday lives. This month, we have spoken to the team to see how they manage stress.

Voice’s Managing Director, Nichola, says: “I enjoy walking barefoot on the beach, dancing and laughing to relieve any stress that I am feeling.”

Sam, our PPC Executive, says: “I take time walking back from work each day to ease back into life at home and I find this helps me when I am feeling under pressure.”

PR and Marketing Assistant, Sam, says: “I like to watch the sunset each night and spend time with my family. I find that this helps me switch off and take time to relax.”

Maisie, our Account Manager, says: “I meditate, exercise and I always walk at lunchtime or do Pilates in the morning. Taking that time to focus on my wellbeing helps me to not feel overwhelmed.”

Senior Account Executive, Katie, says: “I like to listen to music and speak to friends and family.”

Jessica, our Senior Account Director, says: “I do yoga once a week and I hang out with friends regularly.”

Account manager, Lucy, says: “Walking in the woods and gardening are all things that help me reduce any stress that I am feeling.”

Emily, our Digital Marketing Specialist, says: “I make sure I get outside and go for a walk and get some fresh air. I always write lists, I think it’s good to get thoughts down on to paper to help clear your mind. I Listen to music and use my essential oil diffuser.”

Account Assistant, Mya, says: “I find time to listen to music and go for walks at the beach. Spending time with friends and family also helps me if I am feeling stressed.”

These are some great tips from the Voice team and we feel super lucky to have created a supportive network where we always look out for each other and help when anyone feels under pressure.
