OLTCO RECOGNISES MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK BY COMITTING TO SPREADING MORE KINDNESS

Our client, Oltco, is no stranger to spreading kindness amongst its local communities. To recognise Mental Health Awareness Week 2020, Oltco has committed to spreading even more kindness across the UK throughout the next 12 months.
This year Mental Health Awareness Week takes place from Monday 18 May to Sunday 24 May and its 2020 theme is that of kindness. The Mental Health Foundation conducted a survey as they hoped to discover more about the realities of kindness here in the UK. Their results found that almost two-thirds of us feel our mental health is positively impacted when someone shows us kindness. In addition, the survey found that two-thirds of people feel that being kind to others benefits our own mental health. This highlights the importance of spreading kindness and the power that this has in improving both our own mental health and the wellbeing of others.
Spreading kindness is something that Oltco has always been passionate about. With 12 franchises, Oltco has been able to spread kindness to charities, individuals and businesses across the country.
Back in 2019, Oltco celebrated its 15th anniversary by giving back to its local communities. To mark the occasion, Oltco carried out 15 random acts of kindness across the UK. These random acts of kindness included donations to local charities, hospitals and schools, activities which helped the environment and gestures to support individuals across Cornwall, Plymouth, Colchester, Derby, Gloucester and Northwich Cheshire.
Oltco’s Founder and Co-Director, Tom Stringer, says: “We are all too aware of the impact that mental ill health can have on a person. Over the past year, we have seen first-hand the positive impact that kind gestures, big or small, can have on a person’s mental health.”
Meanwhile, Oltco’s Co-Director Johnny Pearce adds: “Now more than ever, it is important that we all come together to not only spread kindness, but also to support one another’s mental health. Whether that’s checking-in with a friend, family member or neighbour, it is vital that we are working together to reduce mental ill health.”
We are incredibly proud to work with clients who are so committed to making a positive change. Well done team Oltco for championing kindness, you continue to inspire us with your commitment to providing support and guidance. We look forward to witnessing your continued kindness both throughout 2020 and beyond.
