We were reading the PRCA’s digital and communicating report and it has found that seven in ten digital communications experts expect to use TikTok more frequently in the next 12 months, while the use of other social media platforms such as LinkedIn and Twitter have decreased.

Tiktok has blossomed in popularity within the last few years with an audience that spans over 150 countries and regions, with one billion users and 75 different languages. This short form video content platform can help boost brand awareness and create an audience for your business, which is why we have put together some of our top tips for making the most out of TikTok for your organisation.

  • Post one to three times a day. With TikTok, consistency is key and it is so important to be posting regularly so that people are seeing your content and you are getting higher rates of engagement.
  • Keep the content relatable and have fun with it. Don’t be afraid to create a personality for your brand and include people in your videos.
  • Jump on trends and relate them to your business. For example, for our client Oltco we jumped on the ASMR trend to create satisfying videos of its resin being mixed, this way you can use a popular hashtag that will hopefully land you on the ‘For You’ pages of people who enjoy your content.
  • Keep the content short and snappy. Now the average attention span is shorter it is better to have shorter content that will engage your audience.
  • Always use sound. TikTok is all about the audio – whether that’s a trending song or your own ASMR audio sound, this really helps boost engagement. So, make sure you’re always adding a relatable song to those short and snappy videos.
